About the Institute of Clinical Chemistry

The Institute of Clinical Chemistry (IKC) provides high quality laboratory diagnostics according to ISO ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards. This service is available to the University Hospital Zurich and external customers for patient care as well as clinical research.

The Institute of Clinical Chemistry is home to the Association for Medical Quality Control, i.e. one of two organizations for external quality assurance programs in Switzerland, which organize legally required external quality control in laboratory medicine.
